BobChair 1"BobChair 1" is my first chair work created in 1991. The principal reason I made this was to test the strength of an undulating form using the technique of laminate layers of 1/2" plywood. It turned out to be a successful test in that it easily supported my weight of almost 200 pounds with no evidence of collapsing. There have been two subsequent efforts to refine the form of the chair by warping the surface to better fit the human body.
