Created as an experiment in refining the design of "BobChair 2" made 4 years earlier. "BobChair 3" exaggerates the flows of the surfaces more and adds a curve to the ends. When I completed the prototype chair I decided that I didn't like it as much as "BobChair 2" so this may be the only version of "BobChair 3" ever produced.
