Erotic Baby"Erotic Baby" was created in 1988 during a period I was experimenting with different ways to express the material I was using at the time, MDF (medium density fiberboard). In most of my works I was exaggerating the technique of laminating by recessing every other layer so as to create a dominate/subordinate layering effect. I wanted to see what the material looked like if a smooth form were created so I made a "baby-size" object that took on an erotic nature, particularly because of the feel of sanded MDF. It almost felt like smooth skin when touched.
