Floating Objects Table"Floating Objects Table" was create in 1987 as the first piece of furniture I made to go into the house I had just built in San Franciso. I needed a coffee table that fit into a tight conversation area and started with the shape of the top surface and then worked down for that to create the base. The top is canvas stretched and glued over 3/4" plywood and painted with acrylic paints. The based is alternating layers of 1/2" and 1/4" MDF.
